Chevrolet Corvette C8 Mileage Blocker — 2020–2024

This Chevrolet mileage blocker is designed for compatible Corvette C8 vehicles from 2020–2024 with an eight-connector Body Control Module (BCM). It has an initial Bypass state and a saved Freeze state for controlled testing. Read the activation and disconnection requirements before ordering: once Freeze has been activated, the vehicle controls cannot switch the emulator back to Bypass.

For off-road, closed-track and dyno testing only. Do not use on public roads or to misrepresent the distance travelled or the vehicle's history.

Compatibility and Connector Identification

The required BCM has eight connectors. The emulator connects at BCM connectors 4 and 5. The seven-connector BCM arrangement used by other applications is not compatible with this C8 product.

Check the actual BCM and identify both required connectors before installation. If you are uncertain about fitment, send CEL the vehicle model, production year, dashboard photograph and clear BCM photographs for assistance. Do not choose a connection based on another Corvette generation's instructions.

Plug-and-Play Installation and Versions

The module uses a plug-and-play connection at BCM connectors 4 and 5, without cutting or soldering wires. Installation instructions are sent after purchase. Follow the instructions supplied for your selected version.

Initial Bypass and Saved Freeze

Bypass — initial state: when the emulator is first connected, the vehicle records mileage normally. The speedometer displays actual vehicle speed.

Freeze — activated state: mileage accumulation is completely stopped. Actual speed remains displayed, cruise control continues to work and vehicle functions operate normally. Activating Freeze does not add a distance increment to the odometer.

Freeze remains saved after it has been activated. Restarting the vehicle does not restore Bypass. Once activated, Freeze cannot be switched back to Bypass using the vehicle controls.

Activating Freeze

Keep the Corvette stationary with the engine running. Flash the high beams four times within four seconds. The hazard signal flashes twice to confirm that Freeze has been activated.

Activation uses the high beams only. The traction-control button is not an activation method for this module. Confirmation comes from the hazard signal; it is not a temporary 20 or 40 km/h speedometer indication.

To restore normal mileage recording, disconnect the emulator. This is a one-way activation rather than a repeatable Bypass / Freeze switching cycle. Do not expect additional high-beam flashes or an ignition cycle to return the connected emulator to Bypass.

Will this fit a BCM with seven connectors?

No. This application requires an eight-connector BCM and uses connectors 4 and 5. Confirm the vehicle's actual connector arrangement before installation.

How do I know Freeze has been activated?

With the vehicle stationary and the engine running, complete four high-beam flashes within four seconds. Two hazard-signal flashes confirm activation.

Can I switch back to Bypass using the same control?

No. Freeze is saved and there is no vehicle-control sequence to return to Bypass. Disconnecting the emulator is required to restore normal mileage recording.

Does activation add 300 metres?

No. There is no activation-related mileage increment on this C8 module. The 300-metre cycle behaviour described for some other CEL products does not apply here.

Does Freeze affect the actual speed display or cruise control?

No. Actual speed remains displayed and cruise control continues to operate normally in Freeze.
