This is a preparation and verification guide. It does not replace the connector diagram, trim-removal instructions or electrical procedure for your particular vehicle and module.
Before you begin
Confirm the match
- Make, model, generation and production year.
- Instrument-cluster type and connector.
- Correct Short or Long version, where offered.
- Instructions for the exact module supplied.
Prepare the work
- Use a stable work area and the vehicle’s service procedure.
- Read the power-off and electrical-isolation requirements.
- Record existing warnings before making changes.
- Arrange a qualified installer if you are unsure.
Installation workflow
Review the instructions
Confirm the module, installation location and connector orientation. If a diagram or connector does not match your vehicle, pause and contact support.
Prepare the vehicle
Follow the manufacturer’s procedure for switching off and safely preparing the electrical system. Power-down timing and battery procedures are vehicle-specific.
Fit the matching module
Follow the supplied installation guide. Do not force a connector, improvise pin connections or modify wiring to make an incompatible version fit. Route and secure the harness as instructed.
Check before testing
Confirm that connectors are fully secured and trim or wiring is not under strain. Restore power according to the vehicle procedure and check the cluster for unexpected warnings.
Verify in a controlled test
Follow the exact mode-switching instructions and check the stated confirmation signal. Verify the displayed speed and the selected recording behaviour, keeping a separate record of actual test distance.
Use the right operating instructions
Do not assume that all modules use the same number of high-beam flashes, button presses or startup mode. Read the operating-mode and startup sections on your exact product page.
If the displayed behaviour differs, stop testing and use the support checklist.
