Compatibility and installation

Select this product for the stated F01/F02 application within 2008–2015. There is no requirement to provide a dashboard or connector photo. The fitting is plug and play and requires neither wire cutting nor soldering; instructions are sent after purchase.

Short and Long packages

The Short version is the standard module configuration. Choose Long for the longer lead with quick-disconnect connection and supplied dummy plug. With the emulator disconnected, that dummy plug provides the normal connection.

Operating profiles and memory

The module begins in Freeze on its first connection. Four quick high-beam flashes change the selected profile, with hazard flashes providing confirmation. Once changed, the last selection is retained after an ignition cycle.

Why mention 2018+ on an earlier 7 Series?

Because the distinction is a software update, not a change to supported years. The updated limited profile displays 10% of actual speed: 5 km/h displayed means 50 km/h actual. Driver assistants still operate.
