PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This BMW X6 F16 mileage blocker is listed for 2014–2020 applications and is designed for off-road, closed-track and dyno testing only. Short and Long cable configurations are available. The mode cards retain the same layout, with the software-dependent speed display clearly distinguished from the percentage of distance recorded.

Compatibility and installation

The listed X6 F16 application spans 2014–2020. No additional instrument-cluster or connector pictures are required. Plug-and-play fittings mean there is no need to cut or solder wiring; installation instructions are provided after buying the product.

Short and Long packages

Choose Short for the standard connection or Long for the extended cable and quick-disconnect connection. Long also includes the dummy plug used to provide the normal connection with the emulator disconnected.

Operating profiles and memory

The initial mode is Freeze, followed by whichever mode you select and save. Four quick flashes of the high beams change the profile, and hazard flashes identify the result. That last selection persists through an ignition cycle.

How should I interpret the updated limited-mode display?

It is 10% of the actual speed with a 2018+ software update. At a real 50 km/h, you will see 5 km/h on the cluster. The other assistance functions remain operational.

MODE SWITCHING

First connection activates Freeze. The last selected mode remains saved after an ignition cycle.
