PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The BMW 4 Series F32/F33/F36/F82/F83 mileage blocker is intended for controlled off-road, closed-track and dyno testing on the listed 2013–2020 applications. Select Short for the standard plug-and-play arrangement or Long for a quick-disconnect connection and an included dummy plug. Review the speed display behaviour for the relevant software state before testing.

Compatibility and installation

Check the model against the F32/F33/F36/F82/F83 application and the 2013–2020 range listed above. There is no additional requirement to submit a cluster image. Installation is plug and play, with no cutting or soldering, and instructions are sent after purchase.

Short and Long packages

The standard Short package and the Long package use the described operating profiles. Long supplies extra cable length, a quick-disconnect connection and a dummy plug. This plug allows the normal connection to be restored when the emulator is disconnected.

Operating profiles and memory

Freeze is selected when the device is first connected. A sequence of four quick high-beam flashes changes profiles, followed by hazard-flash confirmation. The stored setting survives an ignition cycle, so consult the confirmation before each test.

Are all speed readings unchanged?

The exception is the limited profile with a 2018+ software update: the cluster indicates 10% of actual speed. At 50 km/h it shows 5 km/h. Driver assistance systems remain operational.

MODE SWITCHING

Change the profile using 4 quick high-beam flashes. Hazard indicator flashes confirm the selected profile: 1 = Freeze; 2 = Limited 10%; 3 = Limited + Speed/10; 4 = Bypass.

First connection activates Freeze. The last selected mode remains saved after an ignition cycle.
